Float Like a Buffalo is a Denver-based 7-piece, 10-instrument, high-energy Funk Rock band. Our style is rock with funk, ska, reggae, and jam influences. Nods to the funk of Lettuce and The Motet, jam of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, rock of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Chicago Transit Authority, soul of James Brown, & high-energy guitar licks of Jimi Hendrix all combine to make a unique sound that’s impossible not to dance to.
The band has been fortunate to play major shows across the United States at Red Rocks, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Summer Camp Music Festival, Four Corners Jam Festival, ARISE Music Festival, George's Majestic Lounge, Music on Main (Bozeman) and more, and has shared the stage with WAR, Sting, Turkuaz, Dragon Smoke (members of Galactic & Dumpstaphunk), Big Sam's Funky Nation, Magic Beans, March Fourth Marching Band, Face Vocal Band, Steady Flow, Drunken Hearts, Taylor Scott Band, Hannah Wicklund, The Main Squeeze, and more!
