Floating Lights was created a dark December day in 2014 when guitarist Joakim Barfalk and pianist Martin Hedin met up in the studio and started improvising while recording. At the end of that first day, 8 songs had emerged, which were later mixed and released as 2 EPs: Landscapes Below and Pendulum. The releases were very successful, gaining millions of streams and was (and still is) prominently featured on many of Spotify's ambient playlists.
Since then the duo has continued in the same vein, still recording everything and keeping the spontaniousness of the guitar and piano while adding drums and synths later for stability and effect.
Floating Lights have done outdoor concerts in Sweden and will continue to bring their uniquely calm but trippy atmospheres to the audience.
