Floral Detectives were formed in Darlington north east England in 2018. Playing guitar driven post punk, alternative hard rock.
On Nil by Mouth records and represented by OniX management. They write their own songs about the things impacting them In life, social commentaries or things they find intriguing.
Their 2019 debut EP like it loud was a hit with an emerging fanbase garnering over 20000 streams on Spotify & as popular elsewhere.They took the North East by storm finishing 2019 with some wild performances.
Late 2019 bassist Lucy quit , to be replaced by long time fan Tommy Dee. Live performances already a hot exciting affair rose another level.
2020 the world come to a halt ,immediately cancelling tours & festival dates, but the Florals used the enforced break writing new songs. The first of these being the well received single The Masquerade ( That Kinda Guy) released Oct 2021.
2022 Bri was asked to write a track for a paranormal tv program ( ‘Long Time Coming’ the result) & June 1st saw the release of new 7 track mini album - The Chase.
2023 saw co-founding member Calum leave & long time drummer Conor move on to other things which saw the return of original florals drummer Jordan .
Tommy Dee briefly took over vocal duties before Vic B joined to become Bri’s co-writing partner and lead singer.
14th Nov saw a new single Insecurities released.
