Flowstate

Flowstate is a duo made up of cousins Andy Hobday (Producer/Vocalist) and Tommy Cloud (Vocalist) based out of Minneapolis, MN. Their music blends elements of EDM, bass music, hip hop, and live vocal performance to create a sound that is all their own. Both Hobday and Cloud came up through the EDM scene, but also fell in love with the feel of live performance. So, when they set out to start creating their own sound in 2017 they began blending different genres together.

Though the two have been making music together for over three years, they only started performing live in the fall of 2018 and have since exploded onto the Midwest music scene. Opening for names such as Ekali and performing at several different Minnesota music festivals including Shangri-La, Galactic Get Down, and Earth Rhythms.

In positive psychology, a flow state, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity.

In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting loss in one's sense of space and time. The mixture of sounds, energy, words, frequencies, and magic that happens when this group performs will leave you lost in a complete state of being otherwise known as the flowstate.
