FLOYD’s passion for music started from day one with a father who was a professional musician. Combining a rhythmic cadence similar to Logic and melodic hooks comparable to Post Malone, FLOYD has a dynamic offering which shines through on his most recent project, “Gainsborough”. FLOYD’s wide variety of tunes draws from his vast influences. He would listen to classic rock albums from the likes Van Halen to AC/DC until his Walkman batteries died. Being from Detroit -- FLOYD was always inspired by Motown where he draws inspiration for his melodies. He credits Wiz Khalifa, Russ, and Eminem as the most influential rap/hip-hop artists. When he first started recording FLOYD quite literally tore out a closet in his childhood home to dedicate himself to his passion, and always pushes his listeners to do the same. FLOYD has dedicated nearly a decade to his craft and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
