Flying Armadillo is organic and locally sourced folk music from the plains of central Oklahoma. Indebted both to classic country and to post-punk alternative, the band offers high-energy, deeply-felt, and soulful songs in the American tradition.
Formed in 1993, the band took a long hiatus while the members pursued other projects, including bassist Ben Myers’ two-year stint as the Poet Laureate of Oklahoma. Recently reunited with Eli Bridge at the front and Aaron Gardner on the drums, the band is again making folk, folk-rock, and rock music.
