The most powerful music speaks to any mood and every moment. It provides fuel to turn up. It offers comfort in the face of turbulence. It delivers affirmation during times of triumph. Similarly, F$O Pete raps for all seasons. The Broward County spitter and member of the rising F$O [Fly Shit Only] Florida collective touches on a wide range of emotions and feelings in his rhymes with swagger, soul, and spirit.
“Every track has a different vibe,” he exclaims. “If you’re in an energetic mood and want to hear some rough music, I got that for you. If you’re sad about your girl, I got that for you. I know for a fact each song is going to give you a vibe.”
Music gave Pete a vibe during his formative years. As a middle child among four siblings, he split his time between basketball and listening to favorite artists, ranging from Meek Mill and Lil Wayne to Ed Sheeran. Following high school, he traded South Florida for Nebraska where he enrolled in Western Nebraska Community College and made the school’s basketball team.
Despite impressive success on the court, he “started going into rap mode.”
“I just love music,” he elaborates. “It always felt right to rap, and I knew I could do it.”
