Fókus is an alternative rock girl band based in Iceland. The band was formed in a small town on the south east of Iceland by Amylee Trindade and Alexandra Guðrúnardóttir in 2022. Later that year, Anna Lára Grétarsdóttir and Arnbjörg Ýr Sigurðardóttir joined the band.
In the spring of 2023, after only a couple of months as a band and having only played a few local gigs, Fókus entered and won The Music Experiments competition (Músíktilraunir) along with winning awards for best singers and best pianist. After that, the band has played on festivals such as ‘Iceland Airwaves’ ‘Aldrei fór ég suður’ and ‘WESTERPOP’. The band worked hard on recording songs for their EP <a href="spotify:album:219HZS073YEzd0WhKyvWsP" data-name="OBSESSED">OBSESSED</a> which came out 31. October.
The multi-cultural band draws inspiration from all corners of the globe, blending diverse sounds all from classical music to classic rock.
