Hailing from the San Francisco, Bay Area and grounded with a dash of southern flavor from Atlanta, GA, Folami studied at Howard University, and has received a BFA in Musical Theatre. While in college Folami caught the attention of former lead singer of CHIC, Sylver Logan Sharp, who was inspired by Folami’s potential, she helped Folami to get an audition for the band CHIC ft Nile Rodgers. This opportunity officially launched her professional career as one of CHIC’s leading ladies. She then furthered her education in receiving her Masters Degree in Music and Art from Larry Love University. Now with her twenty plus years of training and technique performing around the world, Folami delivers the promise of a stand out performance every time. Having the blessing to travel in style with her mega hit band CHIC, Folami got the pleasure of performing for President Barack Obama. Folami also is known for her vintage inspired fashion, while in Paris in 2018 she caught the attention of the editor and chief of Vogue Paris, Emmanuelle Alt. This Parisian encounter turned into the biggest highlight of Folami’s career by getting her new single ‘Four to the Floor’ to be featured on two page spread in the 2019 august edition of Vogue Paris. Folami loves sharing her vibrant soul throughout corners of the world and always leaves audiences wanting more.
