Swedish pop punk band For The Legion was formed in 2012 as a rebirth of previous projects, composed of Ed Lindgren (vocals/guitar), Johan Schager Låås (guitar), Marcus Birgersson (bass) and Hjalle Lindgren (drums). The four childhood friends from the island of Ekerö outside Stockholm started in early ages to form punk rock bands influenced by bands like blink-182, Green Day and Swedish music heroes Millencolin
Their debut EP Flamboyant was released 2013, now influenced by the new wave of bands such as Four Year Strong, Me vs Hero and Set Your Goals.
The band kept busy and released another EP the following year; Super Smash. The title track was completed with the shooting of a superhero themed music video, a tribute to video gaming and comic book heroes.
In 2016, For The Legion followed up with Regular Terrestrials, a four-track fan favourite recorded at MFG Studios in Stockholm. It was released on Christmas Day along with the single Hello Out There.
In 2018 For The Legion entered the studio, once again with Alex Holmberg at MFG Studios. Their third album Down the Path was released May 24, 2019 and displays a more mature sound with themes such as global warming and parenthood:
"For the Legion has been carving out a name for themselves in the European pop punk scene for the better part of a decade and their latest EP Down the Path shows the Swedish quartet at their melodic finest." ~ Zack Bowman, Not A Sound
