What began largely inside a DAW gradually developed into a more hands-on approach to making records. Songwriting became a central part of his work, while guitars, bass, keyboards, synths and an Akai MPC increasingly replaced the computer as the starting point of his productions. Forage now plays the instrumentation throughout his music himself, building songs from performances, samples and ideas before bringing them together in the studio. His influences include Jon Bellion, Tame Impala and Band of Horses.
In 2026, Forage released his debut album FĪOR together with swiss Artist Ruben Arthur, a record moving between pop, hip-hop and indie-rock while introducing a more mature and organic side of his production. The album's first two singles both topped the Austrian iTunes charts.
The Forage name comes from the idea of searching and discovering a philosophy that has remained at the center of the project since its beginning. Following FĪOR, that search continues with Forage taking on another part of the process himself, vocals.
