Force Quit

Born in San Francisco, California, Max Rico AKA Force Quit first discovered electronic music as a teenager in small raves and later in larger festivals. Overnight music became his passion. He understood that he needed to know everything that came before and earned a degree in Original Composition at Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle, Washington.

He makes electronic music primarily in the House and Techno genres. Recording percussion and vocal samples himself, using sample manipulation as well as sound design with a variety of digital synthesizers. He also uses guitar pedals and hardware sequencers to get some analog feel in his primarily digital driven music. When he was first exposed to electronic music, he said he felt so included, free and vitalized. It quickly became all he could think about and he wanted to be part of it all.
