FORKED

FORKED are some friends who met in Portugal around 2010 through hardcore punk—going to shows, playing in bands, and building friendships around music.

Pedro (guitar), Matheus (bass), and Medley (drums) played in a band called Treehouses 2290, while Diogo (vocals) fronted A Thousand Words and Francisco (guitar) played in Aweless.

Over the past decade, life took them in different directions — Diogo and Pedro moved to Berlin, while Matheus and Medley ended up in Szczecin and Warsaw. Some of them stepped away from music and hardcore for a while, but in December 2024, they decided to start FORKED and in July Francisco joined the band as the second guitar. The band is a fusion of modern hardcore with electronic elements, drawing inspiration from bands like Angel Du$t, Turnstile, Ceremony and other, as well as from music genres they've been exposed to in the past decade.

Their experience as foreigners shapes their music as they share themes of displacement, adaptation, and resilience into their sound and lyrics.
