Forrest Mortifee (he/him) is a transgender recording artist, cultural innovator, and ancient futurist hailing from the unceded lands known as Vancouver, Canada. As a songwriter, he draws from a range of influences including alt-r&b, future-soul, and jazz, with his original work having garnered 30M+ streams on Spotify alone.
Starting young at age 6, Forrest has played countless shows across multiple continents, including Shanghai Fashion Week, Electric Zoo, and Toronto International Jazz Festival. His magnetic stage presence and ethereal vocals have led him to share the stage with SZA, The Internet, and fellow trans trail-blazer Vivek Shraya.
After working with Grammy-winning producer Chin Injeti on his first album “Medicines,” Forrest released the project to critical acclaim, with features on the Oprah Winfrey Network, Toronto’s CTV News, and acclaimed documentary “This One’s for the Ladies."
