Fortress Black

After selling his soul to the devil, Jochen Beat Down decided that spring 2012 was the right time for his new band-project to be unleashed out of the dark: FORTRESS BLACK.
Before recruiting his henchmen, the first demo tape was recorded at Hard Drive Studio / Stuttgart, Germany and released on OUR WORLD Records. The tape was sold out immediately.
JBD felt it would be time to summon the band now. Decades of experience being the mastermind behind bands like ‚Radical Development’, ‚Beat Down’ and legendary ‚ 711 Mayhem’ makes it easy for him to choose his bandmates.
All members in FORTRESS BLACK are well experienced playing live gigs all over the globe. So for the first wave of attack JBD enlisted:
Kehbel / guitar – Empowerment, (ex-True Blue, Iron Skull, Golgatha) Bag-E / bass
Doc Ro / drums – ex-Absidia, Countless
FORTRESS BLACK master brilliantly the balancing act between hardcore and metal, which explodes in a dark wall of sound. Postmodern black metal, blackened negative dark hardcore and also so-called ‚sludge elements’ are to be discovered in songs like „total death“ and „dead heart“.
The lyrics reflect FORTRESS BLACKs’ anti-religious attitude which deals with social-/emotional issues and show their anti-fascistic political point of view.
A monumental world of darkness arises at a FORTRESS BLACK live show; intense video- projections and a dramatic light-show underline the brutal stage-perfomance of this force of nature kinda band.
