Fotis Siotas

Born in Thessaloniki, Fotis Siotas has recorded on more than one hundred albums as a violinist, singer and orchestrator. His involvement with music began at age six with the Ayia Triada Children&#39;s Choir. He began studying violin and singing at nine at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. Siotas was a member of many local bands, such as Podilates, Boomstate and Evi Evan. In 1993 he began collaborating with <a href="spotify:artist:0NFb7EzMeIc7fZMsdDjlrf" data-name="Sokratis Malamas">Sokratis Malamas</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:32iu6edxEe5fMPX029eAU3" data-name="Thanasis Papakonstantinou">Thanasis Papakonstantinou</a> on recordings and as a live performer. Siotas has worked with <a href="spotify:artist:6TyYNIeAzzs4CZAc4pyivx" data-name="Giannis Aggelakas">Giannis Aggelakas</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0OZAOlk0UNtiHJwAlkR4Iz" data-name="Oi Episkeptes">Oi Episkeptes</a>, collaborates with the guitarist-producer, <a href="spotify:artist:4PLNH2wc5c0BPWoHiUmdLZ" data-name="Babis Papadopoulos">Babis Papadopoulos</a> and performs with <a href="spotify:artist:3zaOzPiwcDwULOIc6IBCbd" data-name="Pavlos Pavlidis">Pavlos Pavlidis</a>.

Siotas founded the duet Sancho 003 in 2005 with guitarist Kostas Pantelis and released two albums (&#34;We Buy Gold&#34;, &#34;Muzga&#34;). In 2016 he formed the band <a href="spotify:artist:2gIYBFFHCYfBuGFhysJjgb" data-name="Σωτήρες">Σωτήρες</a> along with <a href="spotify:artist:5i7EB13SpxgomwS7R1WrmT" data-name="Lefteris Moumtzis">Lefteris Moumtzis</a> Kostas Pantelis, and Vasilis Bacharidis. In 2019 he released the album &#34;Ta Deytera&#34;, with music by Siotas and lyrics by <a href="spotify:artist:06qZESmOPRS2D3vaf7Gcrk" data-name="Thodoris Gkonis">Thodoris Gkonis</a>. 2021 will see the release of a new single &#39;Skouria Kai Meli&#39; written by Lefteris Moumtzis and Andreas Trachonitis, with lyrics by Stavros Stavrou, and in 2022 he is releasing his new album &#34;Dyo Lathi&#34; with lyrics by Thodoris Gkonis.

He has worked with Aris Biniaris on the theatre productions &#39;Wake up Vasilis (National Theatre of Greece) and &#39;Dance of Fire&#39; (Municipal Theatre of Piraeus). He has composed for the dance group Sinequanon, the Athens Festival, the National Theatre and many other productions.
