Foxgluv

FOXGLUV were a San Francisco collective of musicians and artists including both Lux D'Coda and Sly Baba on vocals with DJ Kin on production and a revolving crew of various guest players. Part of the scene in and around the mid 2000's West Coast, lyrically the band embraced a modern (albeit twisted) daisy-age Hippie aesthetic while creating a sound that was a funky electronic minimalism way ahead of its time. Evolving out of the Californian rave scene, this all made perfect sense at the time, to the extent that major label WEA funded the recording of their debut album. True to form, the full LIVE incarnation of the band also stretched to multiple musicians and alternative performers on stage so that a reputation was built as a LIVE ACT, most notably at FESTIVALS like the world-famous BURNING MAN in the Nevada desert.

The debut album FLAME AND FORTUNE was released in the US in 2006 while the one year old British independent FRESHLY SQUEEZED simultaneously released a 12&#34; EP including 2 stand-out cuts from the album plus a totally exclusive remix by renowned &#39;ambient techno innovator&#39; (All Music Guide) JONAH SHARP of <a href="spotify:artist:3qDRMLjIJnZoyoG1E2ESNQ" data-name="Spacetime Continuum">Spacetime Continuum</a> fame.

Fast forward to 2024 and it was this rare 12&#34; vinyl which became a sought-after collectors item sparking a surge of renewed interest focused around the dope beat minimalism of the TRIPLE CHERRY DUB. Now the full double A-Side EP is being re-released by <a href="spotify:playlist:0qZRUQiNjhtIvPxmtPU9nF" data-name="This Is Freshly Squeezed">This Is Freshly Squeezed</a> as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations!
