Originally began with students at BIMM Brighton campus. FOXYWOMBAT have since released two singles. The first being "<a href="spotify:album:51ik5htq2pzohGwyjcnKuH" data-name="Two Drinks, Too Deep">Two Drinks, Too Deep</a>" initially drafted by Vocalist/guitarist Ross Wheeler in his first year living in Brighton. This was the second song we ever worked on as a band. The next single being "<a href="spotify:album:62Y7dTiIVw5SBczBVPRJiZ" data-name="Bad Weekend">Bad Weekend</a>". Their themes being the quarter life crisis experience of your late teens to mid twenties, when everyone's "supposed" to know what they're doing but the reality seems more akin to utter chaos. Despite such, FOXYWOMBAT continues to write music for the masses having since performed in numerous venues throughout East Sussex. Inspired by the likes of Don Broco, Deaf Havana and Hands like houses.
Along the way the band picked up the mascot of the Elephant in the room (yet to be nicknamed). The Elephant's roots grew from the early days of "<a href="spotify:album:51ik5htq2pzohGwyjcnKuH" data-name="Two Drinks, Too Deep">Two Drinks, Too Deep</a>" when the band were yet to find a suitable artwork idea for there first single. While talking about the theme of this single, mostly being intoxicated beyond rationality, the theme of the pink elephants from the animated movie Dumbo was brought up. This inspired the bands neon pink elephant bar sign logo and later the masked creature of "<a href="spotify:album:62Y7dTiIVw5SBczBVPRJiZ" data-name="Bad Weekend">Bad Weekend</a>" in which it came to life.
