Frances and The Foundation is the brainchild of old friends formed in a living room in East Nashville in 2011. The band has evolved over the years to emerge as a staple of the Nashville rock community, and continued to grow their reach touring the United States extensively.
Frances and The Foundation have released four EPs and one full-length album to date, and have opened for the likes of Alabama Shakes, The Wallflowers, Gaslight Anthem, and The Glorious Sons. Samantha Frances has been musically inspired since a young age when she was apart of a local children’s choir, which developed into her utilizing her teen angst to create and write music in Colorado Springs, and Seattle Wa. She moved to Nashville in 2006 with hopes of turning her creative aspirations into a career. The current lineup consists of Drummer Wes Cramer, Guitarist Nathan Zumwalt, and Bassist/Frontwoman Samantha Frances. Coming from three completely varied musical backgrounds the band used their broad range of influences to create the wide-ranging rock and roll sound they have become known for.
