Born in Palermo, Sicily, he approached at early age both jazz and classical guitar studies and, as a scholarship recipient, he attended The Berklee College of Music in Boston at the end of the 90’s, where he had the pleasure to study with Mick Goodrick, Hal Crook, Jon Damian, Dave Samuels, Ted Peace. He has performed with Gary Burton, Paul Jeffrey, Andrea Parkins, Bob Moses, Ferenc Nemeth, Karl Berger among others and has collaborated with several video and new media artists . Major appearances in Clubs and Festivals includes: “North Carolina Jazz Festival”, “Berklee Performance Center”, Boston, “Nublu” New York, ”Icebreker” Amsterdam, “Ozmotic”, Turin, “Hamburg Jazz Tage”, Hamburg , Germany, “Sapobla Jazz Festival”, Mallorca, Spain, “Shapeshifter Lab”, New York, “Le Recollets”, Paris. He has performed in Italy, Austria, France, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Latvia, Hungary and USA. In 2007 he has been resident in Paris as a winner of the “Recollets International Residency Program for Jazz Composers” sponsored by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has taught jazz masterclasses in England, Spain, Portugal, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy. Some of his compositions has been chosen for short movies, dance shows, art installations.
