Francis Alban Blake is the pseudonym of poet, philosopher and freak folk songwriter Frans de Blaak (1974-2022). Francis went missing in 2018. Friends and relatives went through his diaries and notebooks, and initially concluded that he had disappeared willfully.
Early 2019 Frank Bond (<a href="spotify:artist:46BRxNk0dLvm0PyPb9gOZr" data-name="AlascA">AlascA</a>, King Forward Records, Space is the Place studio) was given permission by Francis Blake's family to complete the recordings of his unfinished record "Passages" (released 1 April 2022). However, on the 29th of July, only 4 months after the release of this record, Francis Alban Blake was found dead in Auvers-sur-Oise, France.
The family then contacted Frank Bond with a final request: to reconstruct and complete the song sketches Francis had been working on in France. These tapes, labeled "Spells", were finished and will be released through King Forward Records as from the autumn of 2022.
