Driven by his passion for music and his creativity, Francis Brûlé is currently completing a master's degree in composition and sound creation at Université de Montréal for which he received scholarships of excellence in the winter of 2024 and fall of 2024. He made his first compositions around the age of eleven and took his first piano lessons at the age of five. He has degrees in piano and music writing as well as a major in digital music at UdeM. For his master's, he aims to identify, explore and bring together the formal, stylistic and technical paradigms of acousmatic-concrète music and popular music through the composition of a set of performative visual music works.
He recently completed a stay at the Centro Mexicano para la Mùsica y las Artes Sonoras (CMMAS) in Morelia, Mexico, in the fall of 2024 (September 23 to November 29) with the composer Rodrigo Sigal.
Also a multi-instrumentalist (piano, self-thought guitar, singer), he completed two sessions as a teacher in computer-assisted music at the Recording Institute of Canada (RAC) in Montreal in 2023. He is also one of the founding members of the Ensemble de Feedback Libre founded by Merlin Campbell.
