Chilean pianist based in New York.
Developing his career as a pianist for more than 20 years with classical piano formation, Franco's musical foundations range from Japanese video game soundtracks like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy (Nobuo Uematsu / Masashi Hamauzu) and Kingdom Hearts and the Nier series, to classical, romantic, impressionistic and jazz.
His album "New Tradition" showcases this range, featuring music from Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Poulenc, Shostakovich and Kapustin, blended with Final Fantasy and Nier video game music.
In 2021, Franco released a 21-track solo piano album for The Outlaw Ocean Project, led by Ian Urbina, a NY Times / The Atlantic investigative reporter that invited different artists around the world for a collaborative music project based on his bestselling book, The Outlaw Ocean. This same year, Franco released his album "Mirage", featuring music from Tigran Hamasyan, as well as original improvisations.
His original composition albums, "A Seven Day Year" and "The Keeper Piano Works", both showcase his Japanese video game and impressionistic music influences as well as his ability to tell stories through instrumental music.
