The exceptional songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Frank Hammersland, known from bands like Pogo Pops and Popium, passed away on January 20, 2023. Frank was diagnosed with cancer while he was still writing and recording songs for his fourth solo album, "The Ocean Sleeps Alone Tonight" . The allbum is now finished, with a little help from his friends, and will release in October . According to Frank's wishes, Marte Wulff and Sergeant Petter were chosen to provide vocals for the last two songs.
For the recordings, Frank was mostly accompanied by his regular backing band, The Love Connection, with some help from friends from Evig Din For Alltid, among others. In addition to Frank Hammersland himself, the album was produced by Bjarte Jørgensen, Vidar Ersfjord, and Yngve Sætre.
