Franz Guico is a folk singer-songwriter with his heart on his sleeve.
Hailing from Cagayan de Oro City, he weaves his life into masterful poetry and melody that tug on your heartstrings.
His first EP, ‘emosyon sa bandang agham (Acoustic),’ was released online in 2021. The record takes listeners on a journey through snippets of Guico’s high school life, intertwined with his acoustic guitar and stripped down vocals.
Armed with a full band, soulful strings, and roaring electric guitars, Guico’s comeback EP, ‘ang nakaraan sa ngayon’ is precisely what it promises itself to be: a visit to his past with fresh new eyes. As he grows through new experiences of heartbreak, distance, and longing, his craft matures in the same way.
