FREDDY L is a powerhouse alternative trio from South Africa, seamlessly blending pop and rock influences with raw, homegrown singer-songwriter energy. Based between Durban and Cape Town, the band delivers a sound that’s both fresh and deeply rooted in their origins.

Originally the brainchild of lead vocalist Ntuthuko (Freddy) Lalendle, FREDDY L evolved in 2023 with the addition of Reece Berkeley (drums & production) and Niclaus (Claus) Duvenhage (bass & production), transforming the project into a full-fledged sonic force.

The band made their mark with the release of their debut single, “Hold On”, followed by a string of standout singles including Lucky, Clueless, and Nguwe. Their latest track, “Stacey”, takes their sound to another level—an electrifying evolution packed with energy and emotion. With its bold sonic identity, Stacey cements FREDDY L as a band to watch.

Now, they’re on a mission—taking their high-voltage live set to the world and gearing up to unleash a wave of new music that promises to push boundaries and turn heads.
