FREDDY L is a Cape Town-based indie/alternative rock trio from South Africa, blending pop sensibilities with raw, homegrown songwriting and explosive live energy. Originally the brainchild of lead vocalist Ntuthuko (Freddy) Lalendle, the project evolved into a full band in 2023 with the addition of Reece Berkeley (drums & production) and Niclaus (Claus) Duvenhage (bass & production).

Following the success of their debut single, Hold On, which charted across parts of Europe, FREDDY L quickly built momentum with a string of releases including 'Lucky, Modo, and Undercover. Their breakout single Stacey pushed the band even further, gaining strong traction across the US and Europe while introducing listeners to the band’s evolving sonic identity.

Now, FREDDY L steps into a new era with their long-anticipated debut album, *Roadside Assistance*, a project rooted in the band’s journey as individuals and as brothers. The album reflects the importance of having each other’s backs through every high and low, while standing as a dedication to the fans, friends, families, and everyone who has carried the band through the journey so far.

'Roadside Assistance' speaks on love, loss, growth, sacrifice, small victories, and bigger wins, capturing the raw emotion and honest storytelling that defines FREDDY L’s newly found sound and identity. From packed local shows to festival stages, the band continues to build a world that feels reckless, heartfelt, and deeply human.
