I go by the Artist name of Freddy Chingaz
This name was given to me many years ago. My heart will always be in San Francisco, Hunterspoint where I grew up, My dad From El Salvador and mother from Mexico both came to the USA to get a better life. I was raised with my 3 sisters. In are house there was always music playing Cumbia, salsa because of my dad and you no Mexican music because of my mother. I began experimenting with Music in the early 90’s .One time I was given a karaoke machine and that’s when I got the idea to produce beats. I had one cheap keyboard that could connect to it, I was in the Game of producing . I recorded one track on one side of the tape, Then switched sides to record the next track, Then put some paper on the cassette tape to allow me to record over the doubled track , it was a bit challenging but I was able to come up with beats. My plan was to make a compilation tape with all my friends from HP. We came up with 15 songs , It was called the Mexslabs, the name was giving to me by my child hood friend who went by the name of Boywonder,May he Rest In Peace. That’s how it started , soon after that I was in demand for recording. I new my flows weren’t the best but I had the drive for more out of music. That’s when I decide to start rapping my self.
