Fredrika Rei's self-produced debut EP "less depression, more dancing" made its mark on the nordic pop scene in February 2024. Dramatic disco banger "The Human Experience" was played on Finnish radio all winter, "Sparkle Sparkle Little Star" and "think about" landed spots on editorial Spotify list "Suomi indie tänään", and clubby anthem "So It Goes" was picked as one of the best songs of 2023 by Swedish music blog Vakentimmar.
In 2024 she released romantic drum n bass banger ”lose my cool” which went straight onto Finnish radio and New Music Friday in all the Nordic countries, and "Giulietta", an ominous tale for the dance floors about an out of control alter ego, as well as collaborations with Swedish acts The Jilted and Bitchey. A new EP is in the works for 2025.
Born in Finland, raised in Belgium and based in Stockholm, Fredrika Rei makes electropop, driven by feeling more than genre. Rei comes from the expression Panta Rei, which means that everything flows, everything changes. Fredrika Rei’s music will keep moving in any direction the river takes. Swim along.
