Friida

Frida Andersson, also called "Friida", is a 24 year old Singer/songwriter and producer from Sweden who focuses on her songs as a whole. Both message and production are prioritized in her creation. She is passionate about giving the listener the opportunity to interpret her songs freely.

Friida began to create her music as an instrumentalist, mainly with piano and drums, which is something that can be clearly heard in her beat making. She has always written op English, as she feels that the English language gives her more freedom to express herself. More recently, she has broadened her views and started writing music in Swedish. She says that, "since Swedish is the mother tongue, it can sometimes be easier to draw inventive references and metaphors"

Friida is inspired by R&B, Soul and Pop. She also has a great love for Rap and Hip Hop, which is usually reflected in her beats. R&B/alternative R&B is the focus of her songwriting.
She also listens actively to other genres to gain more inspiration for her own songs.

Giving the listener inspiration is something that Friida values highly and hence why she writes, mostly, about her own life experiences.
She strives for her music to be a "safe space", where it is only necessary to sit back, enjoy and be inspired by the music.

"It's all about how people interpret my songs, that's why I usually don't tell my listeners what my songs are about”.
