Froi Arevalo was born into a family of engineers, musicians, and teachers—a lineage that shaped him into a service-oriented and passionate individual. His musical journey began at the age of 10, when he discovered his gift as a boy soprano singing in his local church. At 13, with the encouragement of Fr. John Andreu SDB, the Assistant Parish Priest of the Don Bosco Youth Center, Froi pursued classical piano studies while continuing to lend his voice to the parish choir.
His talent soon shone beyond the church walls. Froi’s powerful voice and stage presence made him a standout in parish musical productions, including one major play that toured Don Bosco Catholic schools across the northern and national capital regions of the Philippines.
In 1988, Froi left his home province for Manila to pursue higher education. It was there that he found new inspiration—jazz and blues. Determined to learn, he boldly approached the Yamaha Music Corporation, convincing the store manager to take him on as an unpaid worker in exchange for lessons. The gamble paid off: not only did he master jazz and blues, but he also gained valuable experience in music arrangement and production.
Today, after decades of dedication, Froi has carved a remarkable place for himself in the music world. He wears many hats—Founder, Musical Director, Composer, and Arranger—each reflecting his unwavering passion and lifelong commitment to the art of music.
