From Starlight: A powerful blend of alt rock and pop punk with emotional lyrics, powerful guitars, and infectious harmonies.

Exhausted after performing in bands and working in recording studios for 10 years , Chris Stein (Analog Casey, The Score, Empty Bottle Librarians, Jesse Bonanno) abandoned music for graduate school. In 2019 Chris worked with Tim Leitner (Bruce Springsteen, Carly Simon, Meat Loaf, John Waite, Billy Squire, Cher, Stevie Nicks) to produce 5 songs with no limitations to achieve new heights. When friends heard the songs, the only question they had was “When are you playing shows?”

Never compromising on vision or performance standards, what emerged was a power group of Albany musicians. Adam Gerstenberger (Solo, The Uncanny Gents) performed throughout the Capital Region for years when The Uncanny Gents recorded at Chris’ studio. Impressed with his talent, Chris asked Adam to join forces to play lead guitar. Adam brought on close friend Brandon Donnovan (bass, vocals, keyboards) . Brandon, a graduate of SCCC’s music program, has been performing for over 10 years in Maggie’s Clan and The Narrow North. Trevor Taylor, a graduate of SUNY Fredonia’s drum program and long-time performer in jazz and blues, was the missing piece. Uncompromising, technical, and obsessed with the nuances of drum performance, Trevor is the beat that drives the music.
