From The Sea

In 2011, two singers met for the first time on a national variety show called Fantastik. Little did they know, this would be the start of a love story that would lead to a lifetime together. Today, Morissette and Dave Lamar make up the Pop/Singer-Songwriter duo called From The Sea, but for the past decade, they have also made a name for themselves.

Dave Lamar is a singer-songwriter, producer, and director. During the early 2010s, he built a fanbase through his YouTube channel, making covers with now well-known artists such as Moira Dela Torre, Reneé Dominique, and of course, Morissette.

Morissette, on the other hand, is an internationally-recognized singer-songwriter, and producer. She is best known for her hits ‘Akin Ka Na Lang’ and ‘Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw’, but over her tenure as an artist, has garnered more than 100 Million streams across all major streaming platforms.

After getting married in 2021, Dave and Morissette finally formed their own musical duo, with a name derived from the surname ‘Lamar’ which, literally translated from Spanish, means ‘From The Sea’. In 2022, they released their first EP as the soundtrack of their wedding, with their carrier single ‘Luna’ hitting over 1 million streams.
