Frozen Poppyhead

We are a Czech alternative metal band formed in 2017. We consist of a lead guitarist, a singer and a perfectionist Richard Tolkner (Tolky) an always-late rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Alfred Rezek (Fredy), an audiophile drummer and backing vocalist David Halada (Deyv) and a chilli-loving bassist Jan Tošer (Tosik).

The whole idea comes from Richard’s solo project “Tolky - Screaming of Silence“, which created strong foundations for the current band. We have known each other for much longer time than Frozen Poppyhead actually exists because we had played together in a metalcore band called Zero Hero. However, the most part of the previous band wanted to make music in a different way so we decided to form Frozen Poppyhead. Their first single „Blessing of Doom“ was released in July 31. After releasing two next songs, we released our first album „The First Furrow“ in April 1st 2018. After a long and dilligent songwriting process, we released our second full-length album called Everfrost containing 15 tracks in February 7th 2021. We are dreamers who played with MEGADETH for ten thousand people and want to play all over the world on the biggest possible stages.

We are known for catchy melodies and choruses, outstanding lyrics, guitar solos and heavy sound of our hihg quality records. As a success, we consider your chilling goosebumps on your skin when listening to our music and your smile when hearing our bandname.
