fulana is the independent musical project of Nadine Lingawi, a producer, songwriter, and singer who began her career with her debut album, The Telling, at 17 on SoundCloud. The album gained modest local recognition, leading to her second album, In the Garden, which solidified fulana’s unique sound and drew attention from local production houses. In 2020, fulana signed with indie label Wall of Sound, where she released a total of eight singles, often touching on themes of self-reflection, interpersonal dynamics, and existentialism.
By 2023, she had performed live at local venues like Hayy Jameel and Anghami Lab, as well as on larger stages such as Benchmark and at major festivals, including MDLBeast XP, BaladBeast, and SoundStorm. Her international shows spanned cities such as Cairo, Amman, New York, Singapore, and Berlin, between her solo shows and her summer tour, Notes on Swimming.
Her latest work, ground:from, is a reflection of her latest fascination: death herself.
