Who are these guys anyway? And what exactly are we hearing here?
FUTURE JESUS AND THE ELECTRIC LUCIFER invite you to dive deep into the human mind with them — and Kosmo Cure is your ticket for this wild trip. Imagine Captain Future jamming with Helge Schneider while C.G. Jung takes notes: that’s the vibe.
Their sound hits like a cosmic punch: energetic, sophisticated drum grooves, pulsating synth and bass lines, shimmering layers, and guitar solos nodding to 80s Van Halen. It’s like Rush crash-landing into a dimension where krautrock, synthwave, and fusion collide. Add some vocoder robot voices à la Daft Punk and sci-fi samples, and your synapses will never be the same.
Since 2015, the Düsseldorf-based trio — Richard Eisenach (bass, synths, vocals), Florian Hoheisel (guitar, synths), and Tamon Nüßner (drums) — have been navigating their own musical multiverse. Their headquarters? A backyard studio in the old Kling Klang Studios, once home to Kraftwerk.
Future Jesus live for big sounds and mind-bending visuals. Think Monty Python in Tron suits piloting the Millennium Falcon through space — that’s the look. Existential questions, cosmic irony, and total sensory overload? All part of the plan.
And while the Kosmo Cure may not yet hold the secret to world domination, at least the band has managed to distill their unique mix of depth and mischief onto vinyl — in proper quality, and on their own terms. For now, that’s more than enough.
