Math-Rock band FXTRT promises a head bopping good time, with singles such as Maggie and crowd favourite Same Same but Different. Formed in 2014, their music blends a concoction of robust rhythm and tongue-in-cheek lyrics with a sprinkle of memorable guitar lines. Exploding on stage with high-octane live shows, the band has garnered a close-knit following in Singapore. They have also been featured in editorials like JUICE and Bandwagon, to the regional Pitchopsticks, and have appeared on the Mathcore Index Podcast Playlist.
Playing Baybeats, IGNITE, All Things New, and dozens of other shows, Jack, James and Kadir are veterans, and are no strangers to crowds and stages of any size. While the departure of founding guitarist Ming in 2023 left the band lost, they quickly recovered and got back on their feet, hiring Cusco to stabilise and reinvigorate the lineup. With his efforts, they have recently completed their first full length album, “Here For A Good Time; For A Long Time” and are looking to tour the region.
