G i f t's heavy, sludgy-noisy-stoner-ish sound rests firmly in the hardcore genre, yet, the members' former bands in the likes of Glasses, Trainwreck, The Tidal Sleep, and Throwers hint at the musical palette present in the group’s songs. Hailing from Leipzig, Germany, the four-piece outfit was formed in early 2020 and immediately forced to take a break right when things were about to take off. After 1.5 years of reconfiguration and adaptation, the band made its first live appearances in their new setup in late 2022.
G i f t entered the studio in early 2023 to record their debut “RUPTURES” which dropped on THIS CHARMING MAN RECORDS in May 2024. It was recorded by Alex Mahn (Haunting House, Leipzig) and mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley (Atomic Garden East, Oakland, CA).
