When the aura of love touches your ears, it draws in nostalgia. It calls your memory to a time when instruments and lyrics fused to make a love child called music. G-Sky aims to continuously give birth to music infused by influences of gospel, zydeco, Neosoul and R&B. Born and raised in Morgan City, LA, Gabriel "G-Sky" Mustiful was exposed to gospel at a young age. As the son of a preacher, G-Sky was raised in the Baptist church and immersed in the joyful noise of gospel music.
At the age of twelve, he heard R. Kelly's single "You Remind Me of Something." This song, as well as other hits by Kelly, ignited a passion in him. Soon G-Sky discovered his own raw talent. He began to sing in church and compete in talent shows. The combination of gospel and Kelly's style of R&B not only inspired him to find his own voice, but also set the stage for the music he brings us today.
G-Sky also finds influence from a range of artists such as Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, John Legend and Anthony Hamilton. Staying true to his roots is important to him. G-Sky pays homage to his roots by mixing R&B and Zydeco together to make the perfect recipe of feel good sounds. G-Sky's single, "My Cowgirl Boo" is a lively, accordion-infused dance tune that sends listeners to the dance floor. The young artist wanted to write a song that would generate happy feelings and lots of fun. In the spirit of his country roots, the up-tempo beat is perfect for Zydeco lovers.
