Ohio’s G4 GoldenChild of Diamond Mill Records steps up to the plate, dishing up infectiously addictive hip-hop gems that aim to stand the test of time. Loose, relaxed flows coalesce with pinpoint precision bars, and his music combines splashes of addictive hooks and neck-breaking grooves, all of which are self-produced. Inspired by the likes of Future, Cash Money Records, Cam’Ron and Boosie, the Ohio-based rapper takes the sum of his influences and puts his own spin on the hip-hop genre. G4 has shared the stage with notable artists such as Rich The Kid, Young Jezzy and E-40.

For G4, it all starts with the hook. It’s what inspires lyrical themes and the overall concepts for each track, and it’s evident in his latest EP ‘Money Is The Motive’ that this methodology serves him well. Thematically, these are songs based on his life on the streets and being strong in the darkest of times. Through his music he aims to enlighten the listener, and to offer perspective to those going through hardship of all shapes and forms.
