Hey! I’m Gabriel and I love to make music. I’m a singer/songwriter based in Wellington, New Zealand, and I spend my life playing gigs, writing songs, recording them, and occasionally releasing them (but don’t worry I intend to release much more very soon).
This new song is my most personal one yet. I wrote it in the tail end of lockdown in 2021 when I felt like the world had gone mad. None of us had any idea what tomorrow looked like. I found myself struggling with the uncertainty of the world around me, and my mental health wasn’t in the best shape, but writing this song offered a moment of respite from the intensity of it all. I wrote this song to remind myself that I have overcome adversity in the past, and will continue to do so, and that we all have the power to do so. We’re all survivors.
