Berlin-based artist and producer Gabriel Gifford traverses experimental pop, creating productions that range from the sensitive to the abrasive. His solo work blends conceptual, cinematic, and folkloric elements, showcased in his debut concept album, Hailstone King, released on November 10, 2023. The project earned support from BBC Radio 6 Music, NTS Radio, and The Fader, amongst others.
As a producer, Gifford has worked across experimental pop, R&B, trip-hop and rap, recently working on projects with artists such as Harvey Causon, jev., BODUR, and LYAM.
In the summer of 2024, Gifford debuted Grudgers Words, a live-work deconstructing contemporary UK rap through themes of masculinity and mental health. As a DJ, he has performed at Pitchfork London, HÖR Berlin, and hosted residencies on platforms Refuge Worldwide, Noods Radio, and Radio Alhara. He is also the co-founder of the Berlin collective Reverse Engineering, known for its focus on experimental parties and multidisciplinary art within club spaces.
