Gamma Intel is out to surprise, both as a DJ and a producer. He wants to find unfamiliar nuances in familiar worlds. He looks to collide unlikely sound sources into something fresh. A meticulous studio craft is at the heart of what he does, but it does not define it. Above all he wants to make you dance, just not to what you might expect. The Dutchman has been on this quest since he debuted in 2017. Back then the music he made was very different from what he makes now, and what he will make tomorrow. In between times there has been an ever-evolving stream of EPs and 12"s on the likes of brokntoys, Pinkman and Mechatronica, and now on the Nerve Collect label he has co-founded with friend Identified Patient. Each tune is an exploration of sounds that he upends, detunes or reconstructs with his own twist. He does this through sound design, creative sampling or an interesting drum groove and draws from electro, bass, acid, d&b, broken beats and techno, always with plenty of attitude. What matters most to him is the next release, the next opportunity to develop and perfect his work.
