Founded in 1988, The Ganglords were pioneering Reggae in Switzlerland in the 1990s. Ganglords recorded two albums in Kingston, Jamaica: Kingston Confidential (1991) and Burnin up (1995), mainly at Gussie Clark's Music Works Studio with sound engineer Soljie, but also at Jammys and Digital B, featuring stars of the time like Frankie Paul, Gregory Isaacs, Pinchers, Patra and many moore. In 1995, Ganglords performed a legendary gig in the numer one club Cactus, backin Lady Saw, Ghost, Goofy and others. At the same year, 'Thanks & Praises' feat. Frankie Paul entered the Jamaican Top Ten.
Back in Europe, they showed an ear for young talents, bringing Patrice and Phenomden for the first time on stage, and did numerous shows with Skarra Mucci.
Ganglords are: Dany 'Drummy' Müller, Philipp 'One Ton' Schnyder (b), Stefan 'Herbal Q' Gisler (kb), Christoph 'Nonsi' Schnurrenberger (g), René 'Ramses' Ramseier (kb).
