Gareth Howatson

Gareth Howatson is a UK based songwriter. Gareth's debut EP 'The 2010 - EP' has seen great success. Both singles Hold On and 2010 Pt.II have featured on BBC Radio Wales with Gareth being once featured as BBC Introducing Artist of The Week.


Shortly after, Gareth released his debut LP 'Waiting For Nothing’ in 2016. The album is dark, passionate and cracks through every detail of hometown friendships and experiences. The singles 'I Want Out' and 'I've Been There' have also featured on BBC Radio Wales numerous times since their release.


Both records contributed in helping create many musical memories for Gareth over the years, one highlight on the live music front would be playing the prestigious Festival No.6 of Portmeirion in 2016.


2021 brought the release of ‘Snakes’, rated at 5 starts by Blazing Minds with descriptions such as “An absolute belter of a track, and amazing lyrics to go by too. And with this track, I do get that “it’s alright”, it’s going to be okay”.


Gareth’s latest release ‘Surely’ which also receiving attention from BBC Introducing Radio Merseyside's own Dave Monks in the summer of 2021 is the first single from the new album 'A Perfect Picture In The Sun'.
