Gaspard is an indie rock band from the underground scene of Oslo, Norway. They started playing together as frustrated teenagers and in 2014 they released «Lillesøster» (“Little Sister”), an EP about resistance and hope. After playing in other constellations, Gaspard decided to reunite in late 2021. Their 2022 single, «Ikke Ring» (“Don’t Call”), showed matured musical expression while holding on to the nerve and energy that has characterized the band and their live shows.
March this year, Gaspard released «Må jeg alltid bære min egen kropp» (“Must I forever carry my own body”), the first of two singles this spring where the band explore vulnerabilities and existence outside the norm. This single was well-recieved by the public - recommended by Urørt, listed by radio channels, and nomminated as «Best music video» at the 46th Norwegian Short Film Festival where it will be previewed during the 2023 festival.
On May 5th, the band released their next single «Hold meg» (“Hold me”), soon to be followed by a music video. Both of the singles were recorded, mixed and engineered by Bjarte Lund Rolland (Kvelertak) at Endless Tinnitus in Oslo, Norway.
