In 1996 GAZZARA released “One” to considerable appreciation. Acid jazz with many guests (James Taylor from JTQ amongst all). In 1998 their second release “Grand Central Boogie” explored the fertile grounds of house music. The single “Timeless” gained popularity after being included in the french compilation “Hotel Costes Vol.3”. The band's line up - Francesco Gazzara (keys), Massimo Sanna (bass) and Mauro Mirti (drums/perc) – toured far off to places such as the Jazz Cafè in London or the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. In 2002 the third release “The Spirit Of Summer” - a funkier feel - rocketed GAZZARA to both sides of the oceans, to a live residency at the Yokohama’s Motion Blue club in Japan and to the HBO headquarters in New York, when a couple of tracks were included in the episodes of TV’s success “Sex & The City”. Then followed side projects as Hammond Express (space age soul), The Piano Room (jazz prog) and more albums as GAZZARA: “Brother And Sister” (2006),“My Cup Of Tea” (2009), “The Bossa Lounge Experience” (2013), “Portrait In Acid Jazz” (2017), “The Bossa Live Sessions” (2020), “Progression” (2022). Four more albums were dedicated to Genesis prog rock music as GAZZARA plays GENESIS: “Play Me My Song” (2014), “Here It Comes Again” (2020), “Foxtrot” (2022) and "Selling England By The pound" (2023).
Latest albums are “I Won't let You Down” as GAZZARA feat. Youssef Dinar (2024) and “Criminal Sounds” (2025).
