Gbasky

Adepoju Adeyinka Oluwabusayo professionally known as “Gbasky” is a professional songwriter, as well as a performing and recording artiste. He began his professional music journey in 2012. He continued to improve his skills by continually writing for himself as well as other artistes in the studio. He joined a music group called "The Factory Pack", a live performing group that was remarkably popular in his Uni in 2014. The group released two projects “Breaking Boxes” and “Recess” in 2014 and 2016 respectively.

Gbasky released his debut project as a solo artist in 2017, “Phenomenal EP”, and released his debut Music Video in 2019 to “Born To Win” which has since received positive reviews throughout the digital space.

Gbasky defines his sound as alternative and afro pop. His lyrics are termed spiritual as he is known for his depth in metaphorical proficiency and imagery. His musical influences include Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Ebenezer Obey, 2baba and Wande Coal.

Gbasky released his Sophomore EP “Black Frequency” in March 2020. The 8-track project showcases Gbasky exploring the theme of hardwork, money, love, and enjoyment as it relates to the Nigerian youth with his rare vocal texture. Leaning into varying traditional styles of Nigerian music from Highlife to Fuji to Juju and balancing it out with new age sounds. The project features the talent of DM Records Wonder Kid, King Perryy.
