Ged is not so much a blues singer but more a “Bluesifier” of songs. Tapping into his love of the Arts, The 1970’s and being “Northern”, Ged has conjured up and distilled his life story into his current album, “Regular Man”.

As the title suggests, nothing more or nothing less than an honest appraisal of a journey that throws out tales from a septuagenarian perspective.

Born in Manchester and now based in Cheltenham, Ged’s journey spans decades of evolution, from the British blues boom of the '60s through to a fresh, genre-defying sound today.

A seasoned performer, Ged has played everywhere from Chicago’s iconic Buddy Guy’s Legends to grassroots venues and festivals across the UK, including the main acoustic stage at The Great British R&B Festival. He’s known for his soulful vocals, fingerstyle guitar, and upside-down harmonica playing - a reflection of his left-handed, individual approach.

With a growing discography, including standout albums Forever Now, What’s Going On, Tonight at Noon and most recently Regular Man (released on Bad Monkey Records and supported by Help Musicians), Ged channels a lifetime of musical influence into every performance—spanning Lightnin’ Hopkins to Miles Davis and Joe Bonamassa.

On stage, Ged brings an intimate, heartfelt show full of warmth, wit and northern sensibility. Whether performing solo or collaborating with top-tier musicians, his music offers both timeless blues feeling and a fresh perspective for modern audiences.
