Gerard George Kettel has been travelling and making a living as a busking troubadour since 1980. Starting out as a One Man Band, he has played in over 50 countries all over the world, on streets, squares and stages, at big festivals and small parties.
These days he not only attracts his audiences with his mellow mixture of folk, country and blues ballads, accompanied by the pure sound of an acoustic guitar and harmonica, but as well with his charisma of a veteran musician. His main focus is the poetry and songs of Leonard Cohen, as well as the music of some of his other “lonesome heroes”, such as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Townes Van Zandt, J.J. Cale, Joan Baez, John Fogerty, Bob Marley and others.
