Music is all about story telling from the past, the present and the future. Gee Gee Writer is all that in his own dusty way. With a passion for the basic in songwriting and good old school instruments and soundscapes from a glorious past.

Gee Gee Writer says: “The traditions of country music and the great american singer/songwriters has always been a part of me, from the very beginning, when music came into my life, and nothing seems more natural to me than writing songs from the darkness under my hat - inspired by the music that has followed me since I can remember. Those poetic words of love and freedom seem to haunt me, and when no justice nor forgiveness is to be found, I get lost in the shadows of my mind - and write these songs. Time has come to let the light in and set the music free.”

The debut album by Gee Gee Writer is called "The Darkness Under My Hat" and draws on great american music traditions of country, singer/writer and folk rock. Artists like Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Jackson Browne and Chris Stapleton come to mind as those who have influenced the songwriting and sound of Gee Gee Writer.
